Although you can add more if you would like.

For this recipe there are only seven ingredients. And some of them may already be in your pantry. Such as tomato sauce, chicken broth and chili powder.
Ingredients
- Frozen cauliflower rice
- Lean ground turkey
- Pinto beans
- White onion
- Tomato sauce
- Chicken broth
- Chili powder
Items needed
- Large pot
- Wooden spoon or other cooking spoon.
- Cutting board
- Paring knife
- Airtight container
Directions to make cauliflower turkey bean chili.
- On a cutting board, dice onion into fine pieces.
- In a large pot, add the diced onion and turkey ground meat. Using a cooking spoon, break the turkey ground meat into small pieces and cook over medium heat. Cook the meat through until there is no pink. Stir often to help prevent it from burning or sticking to the pot.
- Next, add the rest of the ingredients, cauliflower rice, pinto beans without liquid, tomato sauce, chicken broth and chili powder. Stir well, cover and simmer for thirty minutes stirring halfway.
- Remove from heat, let cool and enjoy.
Notes
Although I make this recipe with the ingredients listed, you may want to try to change it up a bit.
- In this recipe I add two teaspoons chili powder, but you may want to add more or less to your liking. And if you like lots of seasonings, you could add kosher salt, and pepper. Or add some hot sauce for more heat.
- If you would like the consistency of your chili to be thicker, you can add corn starch to it. It is a good idea to add it in very little at a time to help prevent it from clumping. If it does clump, try using a whisk.
- If you would like to substitute the pinto beans, here are some possibilities you may want to try. Black beans, white beans such as cannellini beans or kidney beans.
- In place of white onion, you could use red onion, yellow onion or green onions.
- Want to add more fresh veggies to your chili? How about green bell pepper, red bell pepper or orange bell pepper.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to three days.
- If you would like to freeze it, place in a freezer bag. Make sure all of the air is out of it and freeze up to one month.
