This chili recipe I have found to freeze well. I freeze any leftover chili that I know we will not eat by the next day in an airtight bpa free food container. I want to be sure not to waste any of this delicious recipe.
Now onto an easy chili recipe for a family of 4 in little time. There is no reason to look any further. Here is an amazingly easy recipe that will leave you feeling happy and full.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ¼ of an onion
- 1 pound of hamburger
- 1 15 oz can of organic tomato sauce
- 1 14.5 oz can of tomatoes diced
- 1 15 oz can of organic chili beans
- ½ can of water
- 2 tablespoon of tomato paste
- 2 teaspoon sugar
- 2 teaspoon chili powder
- ½ teaspoon garlic salt
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- ¼ teaspoon salt
Directions
- First, prepare the hamburger meat. In a skillet, cook 1 pound of hamburger meat until there is no pink.
- Second, sauté ¼ of a diced onion with 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a stock pot.
- Then, over medium heat, add the cans of tomato sauce, diced tomatoes and chili beans into the stock pot, mixing well.
- Next add the water, tomato paste and hamburger, stirring several times.
- Then add the remaining ingredients.
- Bring all to a boil stirring occasionally.
- Finally, turning down the heat to medium, let heat up for about 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally.
