Instructions to make Crockpot Biscuits and Gravy Pork Sausage Casserole.

- Step 1: In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook pork sausage through until there is no pink. Approximately twelve minutes. Remove cooked sausage pieces from skillet with a slotted spoon and set aside.

- Step 2: In the grease remaining in skillet, add the milk, flour and seasonings. With a whisk, continually stir making a gravy sauce. This will take about 2-3 minutes. Once these ingredients are combined, add the sausage pieces and mix together well.

- Step 3: Grease a crockpot with the extra virgin olive oil on the bottom and the sides. Pull each biscuit apart in half and place 8 halves on the bottom. You can stretch them to fill in any gaps. Cover them with the sausage gravy mixture. Then you will top the sausage gravy mix with the remaining biscuit pieces.

- Step 4: Cook the biscuits and gravy on high for about one hour and fifteen minutes. Check the doneness of the biscuits with a fork. When it comes out clean, it should be done, and the biscuits are a lite golden brown.

Top Tip
This slow cooker biscuits and gravy recipe is versatile. If you would rather have a creamy gravy, that is an option as well. In this recipe I use the entire package of sausage, and the gravy does not end up runny at all. It tends to soak it in. If you would prefer, you may want to add less of the sausage. Or perhaps omit the sausage all together.
FAQ
You may not have added enough flour. Or perhaps you added too much milk. Either way, slowly add very small amounts of flour into thicken to how you would like the consistency to be.
Frugal Tip
To save some money when making this recipe, you can omit the sausage. And you can use whatever brand of items that are the best price.
