Directions to make this delightful copycat Cinnabon cake in the oven recipe with a twist.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Grease a pan with ¼-1/2 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil.
- Mix the dry ingredients, All-purpose flour, white sugar, brown sugar, and baking powder together well with a spoon. You may want to use a whisk as well.
- Then add the melted butter, eggs, almond milk and vanilla extract. Stir together until all blended and pour batter into the greased prepared pan.
- Sprinkle ground cinnamon over top of the cake batter. With a fork, swirl it through the cake batter.
- Bake in oven for twenty to twenty-five minutes. Insert a fork or toothpick in center of the cake to check for doneness. It will come out clean when cake is done baking.
- While the cake is baking, prepare the delicious topping ingredients for the simple glaze. In a small bowl, combine the cream cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Using a whisk to help stir glaze ingredients.
- Once out of the oven, pour the cream cheese glaze over warm cake.
Notes
- Cover the pan with aluminum foil or place slices of cake in an airtight container. Refrigerate up to three days.
- To warm up leftovers, place a slice of your Cinnabon cinnamon roll cake in the microwave for fifteen seconds.
- If after refrigerating it seems like less moist cake, microwaving helps. The fifteen seconds per slice can help.
