Ingredients

Homemade cinnamon roll cake

  • 1.5 cups white sugar
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 4 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ cup butter melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ tablespoon ground cinnamon

Cream cheese sweet glaze

  • 8 oz cream cheese-softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a pan with ¼ to ½ teaspoon extra virgin olive oil.
  • Mix the dry ingredients, All-purpose flour, white sugar, brown sugar, and baking powder together well with a spoon. You may want to use a whisk as well.
  • Then add the melted butter, eggs, almond milk and vanilla extract. Stir together until all blended and pour batter into the greased prepared pan.
  • Sprinkle ground cinnamon over top of the cake batter. With a fork, swirl it through the cake batter.
  • Bake in oven for twenty to twenty-five minutes. Insert a fork or toothpick in center of the cake to check for doneness. It will come out clean when cake is done baking.
  • While the cake is baking, prepare the delicious topping ingredients for the simple glaze. In a small bowl, combine the cream cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Using a whisk to help stir glaze ingredients.
  • Once out of the oven, pour the cream cheese glaze over warm cake.

Notes

    • Cover the pan with aluminum foil or place slices of cake in an airtight container. Refrigerate up to three days.
    • To warm up leftovers, place a slice of your Cinnabon cinnamon roll cake in the microwave for fifteen seconds.
    • If after refrigerating it seems like less moist cake, microwaving helps. The fifteen seconds per slice can help.
