Instructions to make chocolate cherry brownies with sprinkles.
- Step 1: Grease an 8x8 square pan with extra virgin olive oil or vegetable oil. Next in a large mixing bowl, start out by stirring together the vanilla extract and softened butter. Then add all of the remaining ingredients and mix well using a hand mixer.
2. Step 2: Add frozen cherries and sprinkles into brownie batter and stir well with a spoon.
- Step 3: Pour batter into greased pan. Smooth out as evenly as possible filling the entire pan.
4. Step 4: In a 350-degree preheated oven, bake your chocolate cherry brownies with sprinkles for approximately 38 minutes. Remove from oven and check for doneness. You can do this by inserting a toothpick or fork into it. When it comes out clean, the brownies are done.
Hint:
- Baking times may vary a little bit for best results. The brownies may appear done, but doing the toothpick or fork check is best to make sure. As seen in my step 4 picture, I had to check several times before they were done. Because you do not want them to be undercooked.
- You may want to add the sprinkles after you spread the brownie batter into the pan. Sprinkle them over the top.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into them and enjoying these great brownies.
Variations
- Toppings - do you like to top your brownies? Some suggestions are sprinkling sprinkles on top, fresh fruit, powdered sugar or ice cream.
