Grease an 8x8 square pan with extra virgin olive oil or vegetable oil.
In a large mixing bowl, start out by stirring together the vanilla extract and softened butter. Then add all of the remaining ingredients and mix well using a hand mixer.
Add frozen cherries and sprinkles into brownie batter and stir well with a spoon.
Pour batter into greased pan. Smooth out as evenly as possible filling the entire pan.
In a 350-degree preheated oven, bake your chocolate cherry brownies with sprinkles for approximately 38 minutes.
Remove from oven and check for doneness. You can do this by inserting a toothpick or fork into it. When it comes out clean, the brownies are done.
Notes
Storage
Store leftover brownies in an airtight container either on the counter at room temperature or in the refrigerator. Place parchment paper between layers. Keep for up to four days.
Top Tip
Storing your brownies in the refrigerator I feel is the best way to store them. It will make them taste even more like the fudgy brownie they are. And it will also help them to hold together better with less crumbling.
Frugal Tip
To save money making the brownie batter, you could use a box brownie mix. And then add the cherries and sprinkles to it.
