This air fryer brown sugar honey jalapeno bacon recipe has such an amazing balance of sweet heat to it. And it has a sweet candied like flavoring. What I feel is a perfect balance. For this recipe, I neither used thick cut bacon or thinner bacon. Rather in between the two. It is what I usually buy, and it worked great.
These brown sugar honey jalapeno bacon strips make for a wonderful side dish. They could also be served for a perfect snack with guests or at your next party. How about during football season? Making for a perfect side dish for game day.
Another idea is to serve these on Christmas eve or New Years eve with the appetizers. It may just be a new dish that your guests have never tried before and soon will love.

Frugal Tip
You do not have to buy the most expensive bacon for this recipe. I purchase what is on sale and stick to in-between thin and thick slices. And this recipe does not call for a lot of honey. If you have any leftover honey packets, you could use them. No need to make a special trip to the store to buy some.
Ingredients
In addition to the package of bacon, or partial package, you only need a few ingredients.
- Brown sugar
- Diced jalapeno peppers
- Honey
- Bacon slices
Items needed
- Air fryer
- Baking sheet
- Wire rack
- Aluminum foil
- Measuring cup
- Measuring spoon
- Small spoon
- Small plate
- Parchment paper
- Airtight container
Directions
This recipe is not only easy, but it also does not require a lot of cook time either.
- Line an air fryer baking sheet with foil. I like how this helps make for an easier clean up.
- Finely dice the jalapeno pepper.
- Pour the brown sugar onto a small plate and coat each side of each slice of bacon with it.
- Place the strips of bacon in a single layer on an air fryer wire rack.
- I do not preheat the air fryer. Cook the bacon at 350 degrees for ten minutes.
- Carefully remove the wire basket and with a small spoon, drizzle a little honey on the tops of the bacon. Then sprinkle the pieces of hot peppers on them.
- Cook for another three minutes and remove from air fryer.

This looks like something I desperately need to try. However, I might eat the whole pack of bacon in one sitting. Sounds divine! 🙂
