There have been teachers in my children's lives that have really made a positive impact on them. These teachers we remember with a smile and are grateful that they were their teachers. We do not have to spend a lot of money to show our appreciation. I have put together a list of 16 holiday teacher gifts for under $10. So, when certain things come up such as holidays, we like to show our appreciation. To teachers, bus drivers and others that help our children from day to day at school.
A small dollar amount can go a long way when it comes to giving gifts. If you have not done so already, now is the time to think about what your favorite teacher and other school personnel may like for Christmas. Let's look at some goodies below.

Hand written card
A hand written card to your teacher tops my list of teacher gifts. It is a thoughtful and heartfelt gift. Your child taking their time and writing a message to them is something that they could cherish for years to come. It is something they can look back on and be reminded of the impact they had on a child's life.
You could purchase a card and let your child write in it. Another option is simply using paper you already have. Your child could use stamps and stickers to decorate it if they would like to.
Tote bag
Teachers have things that they need to carry back and forth from home to school and even perhaps from class to class if they have different rooms to teach in. An inexpensive tote could be a nice gift to give them. Do they have a favorite color or saying? Finding a tote with either of them would be a great personal touch.
Gift card
Sometimes gift cards may be viewed as impersonal gifts to give. I think that giving a gift card is actually a good idea. If you are not sure of what someone may want it can be nice to give them a gift card. If you know that someone has a favorite store or restaurant for example, giving them a gift card to one of them would be nice.
A gift card does not have to be a high dollar amount to show your appreciation. A $5 or $10 gift card is a very nice gesture.
Sharpie markers
Do the teachers in your children's lives use Sharpie markers? This is a nice gift to give a teacher if they do. They will come in handy. They can use them in their classrooms and at home (or on the go).
Baking mixes with oven mitts
I once received a cute oven mitt with a thoughtful quote on it. Inside of the mitt was a brownie mix and spatula. I loved it. I think this would be a great teacher gift too. They can enjoy making brownies and get continued use out of the oven mitt and spatula if you choose to add one.
Hand sanitizer
This is a great gift for any teacher who spends their days in a classroom. They could even use it on the go as well.
Memory book
A cute gift to give would be a small memory book. You could even include a picture of your child and a little handwritten note. Throughout the school year their teacher could add to the book and show it to their class at the end of the year. This is also something they could look back at for years to come.

Mug with a gift card
Does your child's teacher drink coffee or tea? If they are a fan of either, you could buy an inexpensive mug and place a $5-10 gift card inside of it to a coffee shop. They could enjoy a cup or two of their favorite coffee or tea from you and then continue to use the mug throughout the year.
Calendar
There are many sizes and types of calendars to choose from. Some to consider are desk calendars and pocket calendars. With teacher planning, an extra calendar may come in handy. There are also many different themes that some calendars come with. Is your child's teacher a fan of dogs for example? Your child could then pick out a cute dog calendar.
Fuzzy socks
It can get very cold in the winter time. Giving a few pairs of fuzzy socks would be a nice gift to give. I have seen some very cute ones at the Dollar Tree.
Favorites
Does your child's teacher have any favorite things?
- Candy
Treat them to their favorite candy. For example if their favorite candy is peanut butter cups, you could buy a bag of them. Then you could purchase a festive candy jar and place the candy inside of it. Not only will they get to enjoy their favorite candy but they will get to use the jar for future use as well.
- Coffee
You could purchase their favorite bag of coffee beans. They can then enjoy several cups of coffee throughout the season.
- Pens
Sometimes there is a certain type of pen others like to use. If your child's teacher has one, buy several to stock them up for awhile.
- Hand lotion
With the importance of hand washing, especially in the winter time our hands can get really dry. Does their teacher like hand lotion? Do they have a favorite kind? Purchasing a couple of bottles would be a great gift to give.
- Snacks
How about snacks? Do they enjoy any particular kinds? How about buying a few of them and placing them in a festive gift bag? It would be a nice treat to enjoy over their holiday break.

Stocking full of favorites
A festive idea would be to make a stocking full of their teacher's favorite things. Depending on the cost of the items, you could purchase a few of his or her favorites or several and put them in a stocking. Making for a fun gift to give.
