1 ramekin or small bowl.
1 medium bowl
1 Large skillet
1 fork for mixing glaze.
1 Pair of tongs
- 14 oz boneless skinless chicken breast.
- ½ cup maple syrup
- ½ cup honey
- ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ¼ tablespoon black pepper
- ¼ tablespoon salt
- ¼ tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil for skillet.
Pour extra virgin olive oil into a large skillet covering the entire skillet.
Combine the pepper, salt and garlic powder and sprinkle it over both sides of each piece of chicken. I like to also rub the mixture into the chicken.
Place chicken in skillet and cook over medium heat for approximately twenty minutes turning throughout. Cooking it all the way through until there is no pink.
Make the glaze by adding the maple syrup, honey, apple cider vinegar and brown sugar together. Stir well with a fork. Then pour it over the cooked chicken.
Bake the chicken in the glaze over low heat for ten minutes. Turning it halfway through.
Keep a close eye on the skillet while the glaze is baking on the chicken. You want to make sure it does not burn.
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
