- 1 pound lean turkey ground meat
- 15 oz can of Manwich - original
- ¼ cup onion diced
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- ¼ cup frozen cauliflower rice
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
Dice onions and measure out ingredients.
First add all of ingredients together in a large bowl.
Next mix the ingredients together. Making sure to mix everything well so there are no clumps of ingredients.
Then pour the canned sloppy joe sauce over the meat mixture. Using a spoon mix all of the ingredients together until there is no pink from the meat showing. Making sure to saturate everything with the canned sloppy joe sauce.
Finally pour the sloppy joe filling into a large skillet. Cook on medium heat for approximately twenty minutes. Ensuring that the meat is completely cooked through. Remove from heat and serve on a bun for a loose meat sandwich or by itself.
Hint: I found that the best way to mix up the ingredients well is kneading it by hand.
Store your leftover Manwich sloppy joes in an airtight container. Refrigerate for up to three days.
These sloppy joe sandwiches make wonderful lunch for the next day. Or perhaps dinner for the next night.
