Equipment

  • 1 Crockpot
  • 1 kitchen knife
  • 2 pieces of aluminum foil
  • Plastic wrap
  • 1 Airtight container

Ingredients

  • 5 frozen Bavarian pretzel sticks.
  • pound black forest ham
  • 2-3 slices Swiss cheese

Instructions

  • Slice down the side of each Bavarian pretzel stick. Not cutting all the way through.
  •  Fill the open side of your pretzel with the desired amount of ham you would like.
  •  Top your sandwiches off with the amount of cheese you would like. They do not have to be equal pieces. I used about a third of a slice of Swiss cheese for each.
  • Place foil and then Bavarian pretzel ham and Swiss sandwiches into crockpot. Place a sheet of foil in between layers of sandwiches. Cover and cook on low for one and a half hours.

Notes

I did not use the pretzel salt with this recipe. But you can add salt if you would like.
Wrap individual leftover Bavarian ham and cheese pretzel sandwiches in plastic wrap and place in an airtight container. Store in refrigerator for up to two to three days.
